Settings on the device

Use of Task button and switch.

Switch (on/off)

Switch position	Power supply	Behaviour
OFF	OFF	Device is in “PowerDown” with lowest power consumption. Only the clock still runs with the help of the backup battery.
OFF	ON	The unit is switched off. The battery is monitored and recharged if necessary.
ON	ON	The unit is switched on. The battery is monitored and recharged if necessary.
ON	OFF	Device is running on battery reserve. Briefly pressing the button can wake a sleeping device. Long press on button (8s) can put active device to sleep. If the battery is empty, the unit switches to “PowerDown”. Reactivation is then only possible with power supply unit.

Task Button

Short Press: Press button 1 second. Long press: Press for more than 8 seconds.

Microphone test using orange and green LED

If you want to test the microphone, you can do this directly on the device:

1. Remove all external storage devices (USB, SD card)
2. Short press task button

Test passed: Green and orange LED blink once, orange LED goes out Test failed: Orange LED does not blink (check cables, microphone)

If two microphones (or more) are installed, the orange and green LED blink once for every microphone installed.
